There's a different procedure for entering the changer code, I don't know if off hand but someone will be along shortly  8-)

Hi, mine is the mini facelift but the coding procedure may be the same, according to my manual it states :- 1) Switch on ignition.  2) Switch off the radio using the off switch.  3)Press and hold the CD key.  4) Switch on the radio while keeping the CD key pressed until you hear a confirmation beep.  5) The display shows "CD-CODE" for approx 3 secs, then "CDC code:" and the number of remaining attempts, for example "---- (10)". 6) Enter CD changer code number with the number keys.  7) Confirm "OK" by pressing multi-function control knob.  Hope this helps.

CCR2006 does not have a seperate CDC code. This is a fault with the unit apparently...

I was mistaken on my original post the display is saying 'CDC SAFE' not 'CDC CODE'.

@ the boy is this something that can be repaired (probably at the stealers) or is a new one needed?

Seems to be common enough, wait and see what others say what they did when theirs failed...

safe means that you have entered the wrong code a certain number of times, radio needs to be on for anything between 2 mins and 2 hours as the code is time locked

doesnt matter when the codes were entered wrong, these radios have a memory chip iin them as do the changers which infinitely stores code info.

The CDR2006 (or any of the Double DIN units) do not have seperate codes for CD Changer, as the changer is in the head unit...

you need to leave the radio on until safe changes to ----10 eg .the lockout time depends on how many times the codes been entered in 2minute increments eg.2,4,8,16,32 etc up to a maximum of ten times, its worth a try, also ignition needs to be on
