Alarm / Indicators query
« on: 24 January 2007, 12:33:35 »

The other day when I was working on my car 97P Omega when finished I locked my car as you do and all the indicators flashed, my dad at the time who was with me commented that his 94M omega indicators do not flash when the alarm is armed or disarmed.

He has the IR type with the red dot on the ceiling.

Has been mentioned in an older thread but I am still unable to trace the problem.

I have proven the alarm works since.

Could anyone suggest a possible reason why it does it on mine but not my dads.

I seem to remember someone having this problem a while ago & it turned out to be a faulty hazard switch, but then I could be wrong!

Not sure if the variant coding makes a difference...

Cheers for the suggestions guy :y

Fuse? any Idea which one as all the gadgets etc he has appear to be working.

Hazard Warning Switch? appears to be working tested all indicators and they work aswell.

Variant Coding? whats that a tech1 or tech2 jobby.

I am miffed as to what it could be, was even thinking perhaps a dodgy relay but which is it and where :-/

Cheers Again
