Looking for an estate on behalf of a friend
« on: 01 January 2010, 17:29:43 »

A friend of mine is looking for a Miggy estate. His budget is around the £800 mark (Though ideally, less) It doesn't need to be mint (At that money, it won't be) Ideally, he wants a manual four banger but I think a 2.5 might not be out of the question, nor would a diesel. He needs something that he can just chuck stuff in the boot with and go. The only stipulation, other than being manual is that it needs to have a long MOT. Like me, he's in Northants. What have you got?

Thank you all for your PMs,sorry I haven't responded sooner. I took one look at the fail sheet on his car and said "We can fix this" In summary:
headlights give poor vision (Sand paper and rubbing compound.
Front discs and pads worn (£50 delivered)
Two track rod ends (£25 delivered)
One gaiter (£10)
PAS pump and hoses have a leak. (£30 from a breaker)

Garage told him it was £450 of work!

My 1996 N plate, 2.0 GLS Estate is for sale. Only bought it a few weeks ago but have been offered a job down under so it has to go.

149k mileage
4 new tyres ( 2 fitted on 03FEB)
New centre exhaust
New rear exhaust
Tax to April
MOT to October
10 CD changer in the boot
Nice inside, tidy outside

Located in Suffolk, near Sudbuy and Halstead.

£450 would do it. Contact me for more info.
