Basic check of pressure and fluids. Pressures been neglected so i thought i better check before visiting relatives. All exactly the same, and not dropped at all. Must have been a monthe since i last looked, but no change. Odd. Good, but odd.  :-\

Started it (first time in at least a month :o and still started on the button :y), put some air in the tyres (although not really got the right pressures, just got them roughly right as 2 were very low! :-[), and took it for a short (15 miles or so) drive to pick something up from the in-law's place :y Couldn't go much further anyway as it's out of LPG and very low on petrol ::)

It reminded me of a couple of things... How saggy the Elite suspension is (on the list to be changed in the next few months ;)) and how much I love driving it :y I was starting to consider selling it (at a large loss) because I think it's done about 200 miles in the last 2 months :o but I we still need a big car and it shouldn't be too long before I have someone else working for me and wont have the van available all the time :y

Bent back the disc backing plate that I bent yesterday while poly bushing the wishbones on my elite, it was rubbing on the disc and being a bloody nuisance.
Then cleaned the wheels and put air in cleaned and regressed the towball

Fixed Radars miss fire, and cam cover leak, and hopefully the scuttle leak as well with a bit of luck. :)

Some days ago I gave her into a garage for full external recovery. Welding, painting and so on. All she needs.

Radiator removal today "what a pig to get out" esp dismatling the plenums lower bodies  :(So many wires and pipes to undo and helps if you have 3 pairs of hands trying to lift the rad out while unclipping wires . Anyhow while the rad was out i spotted easy access to the anti roll bar bushes ...looked like the originals all oval and perrished , bolts were almost seized in but got them out eventually ..needed the swear box a few times but all stripped out ready for the new rad this weekend  ::) ::)

Did a quick oil and oil filter change - meant to do it a couple of days ago but the stealers was shut. He did say the 4 for 3 offer was still on though!

How annoying is it when you pay for something to be done, then find it was not done properly? >:(
As some if you may know I have an Impreza which I changed the clutch on after having it remapped etc..... Anyway I found that the flywheel drastically needed skimming. I took it to a well known place that did the job for me.
I fitted everything and for a few happy days, until I start hearing a rattling sound. Had a look then fitted some jubilee clips around the heat shields, noise gone. The following morning this bloody noise was back. I have been rather busy and lived with it for a bit then eventually got it on the ramp. The noise seemed to be coming from the flywheel area...
This afternoon I managed to steal a few hours to have a look........
There were three small bolts loose that holds the flywheel together.......it took five minutes to take the bolts out, put on some loctite then refit but a ball ache to remove the gearbox again because some muppet whom got paid to do a job did not do it right >:(

Oh well Character Building I suppose

Washed it. Bloody filthy. Black must be the most satisfying colour to clean. If you see what I mean. ::)
