Sorry mate, I'd love it, but it's over budget for me I'm afraid.  Keep 'em coming though!

Thanks!

I'm sure the guy selling it would take a slight drop on his asking price, but if £800 is your absolute upper limit then make sure whatever you look at has had the "common" faults (eg, wishbones) sorted.

A cheap tyre for the MIG is £50, and things like poor geometry setup (caused by failing wishbones, poor alignment, etc) will see those tyres ripped to shreds in no time at all.

Good luck with finding the right one.

Thanks mate, I'm not necessarily expecting a minter for my budget, but should be able to get something good.

I've lots of experience of Omega Ownership and that's exactly why I'm after another, you're right that there are some common things which have to be done, but if they haven't then I'll just factor that in to my price!

Hoping to get one from another enthusiast rather than some random ebayer, fingers crossed!

Cheers,
James

Two things!

1). I have for part-ex if you like, an X Reg Megane Scenic 2.0 16v Sport Alize with 11 months mot and tax.  Good condition but high miles.  Comfy car!  Not expecting much so happy to PX for your Omega

2).  I can add Paypal to a deal (I am confirmed, 300+ feedback on ebay, lots of itrader feedback on other forums etc. etc.) if someone has something good!

So, try me folks!

Might be getting rid of one of mine soon'ish.

2000 'W' Facelift 3.0 MV6 Estate Auto in Black (very clean), Factory spec, Recaro's, criuse, rear parking sensors etc. New Cam Belt, Tensioners, Water Pump, Tax Test, High Millage but FSH, 2 owners, 1 Vauxhall's, 2 The Vx Sales Manager who bought the car at Vx's.

Wont go for £800 but could go for just under £1000.

Chris (Herts / Essex).

Well unless you want my Froggie MPV in part ex, it's likely out of my budget but please send through the details once you know for sure whether its for sale or not.

Whereabouts in herts are you?

Cheers,
James

No Probs, James, should know in a week or two, really got to many Migs at the Mo, as also restoring a couple of ex plod saloons at the moment as well so might need the space.

Im in Cheshunt, J25 M25, but the Car is in Epping, may have some Pics later this week.

Cool, well let me know - i'd be coming from St Albans if a deal could get struck, but as we've both established, currently over budget!

He might very well be interested in a part X James, he's looking for a cheapie MPV for his missus & her kids.

I can't get hold of him to confirm at the moment, but I will post back when I get hold of him.
The car is in Sunbury, which is about 40 minute trip around the M25 from you.

What sort of general condition is the car in, and what do you call "high" miles?

Hi there,

Overall, cosmetic condition is good and no dents or rust to worry about.

The noisy tensioner just makes the engine sound a bit whizzy but it's safe and hasn't got any worse

mileage is 130k but will go up!

Cheers

Have replied to your PM James.

Not so sure why you need it taxed before you buy, because you can tax it yourself there & then if you decide to buy and have a valid insurance policy in force.

That aside, if you are unable to tax it yourself then tax can be provided but that pushes the bottom line to £900.

Thanks mate, but as I mentioned, I've hopefully got something sorted with a straight swap for my Frogmobile.

Thanks again for all your help!
