F.S. 3.2 Elite, 03 52, saloon with LPG,2013,CID
« on: 28 October 2010, 01:38:15 »

My 3.2 Elite is for sale. Reason, finally found a black one of similar spec. :y

Usual Elite toys with 2013 nav and colour info display.

Mot'd for one year, 6months tax. All the usual omega issues have been sorted, cam covers, rear donut bushes, wishbones, all replaced. Set up at wim, drives straight as a die. Fully up together, only fault is 0430 pre cat code via pedal trick, but as you can see from the pics the light is not on/stays off no problem.

Plus I have added,

LPG, stag 3000 kit with 60litre donut tank in the spare wheel well. Keeps boot and through space. Fully certified and registered dual fuel.
Mv6 suspension, new parts, but kept self levelling.
Rear sun blind
Tow bar, now removed but easily refitted.

Price, depends on the spec you want, LPG is staying with the car, so for example....
In current spec £2950....plus semi removable tow bar fitted £50. Bolt on swan neck type.
Less CID/gid fitted,(value. 200) £2750
Less mv6 suspension,(value 250 new remember) original elite suspension fitted, kyb rear sl springs, £2500

Or, obviously, put it the other way, stock 3.2elite with LPG, £2.500 plus mv6 suspension and CID etc, you get the idea  :D

Hopefully to an oofer, or it's off to auto trader and eBay etc. and will be priced differantly.

I also have full irmscher kit in the correct colour with double exit either side of the number plate exhaust(not with toe bar), and filler behind number plate. With 18inch sport star wheels. BUT this will be sold later, and only to the buyer of the car if interested, otherwise it will be painted black and fitted to my new omega in the spring.

Sadly there is slight damage to the rubbing strip on rear door drivers side caused by slight BMW/omega interface  >:(

Bad points, some parking dings and marks on the bumpers from the previous owner, rubbing strip on rear drivers door as mentioned. And to add, I have not cleaned the car for the pics, it's not "bullied up" as a trader once called it, there is a gruby mark on the driver arm rest and the interior has not been cleaned for a while. I would rather you see the car as it is day to day rather than in Sunday best, plus I simply didn't have time  ;D

Any sensible questions fire away, any remarks on the price will not be particularly welcome other than by pm please. :y

Hope you like :)

Thanks for looking, Chris.

im liking the flip rear plate for the lpg, cant you get an activator for the solenoid rigged up to your snooper or tomtom so when you pass a cammera it drops the plate down? lol

i like the flip rear plate for the lpg,  .....

Various cars in the past have had this feature, MKIII Zephyr/Zodiacs, didn't some of the Rootes group cars have it too? And loads of 'Yank tanks' over the years.  ;)

I do like it too , better than a black plastic plug on the rear quarter  :y :y

Exactly right, I hate drilling holes in stuff, it's irreversible, and untidy IMO. I could not bring myself to drill the wing, and drilling an irmscher rear bumper in a visible area just ain't happening, so behind the number plate was the only option in the end. Externally and with the boot open even, you'd never know it's a dual fuel car.  :y

Mind you I must have measured fifty time drilling the reversing sensor holes, then realised I could fit the old bumper inside the irmscher one and drill the holes from the inside out through the old bumper. Easy and spot on first time. Seemples.  :y

Just to add, another thread reminded me, this car has oe pads fitted all round. These cost 120 quid for both axles and give far superior bite and feel at the brake pedal compared to trade club pads.

Car probably being advertised elsewhere during the course of the week and going by what's out there will be at a higher price with tc pads swapped back on.

Plus I have another 2013 head unit with failed nav laser and working gid I could fit if it helps anyone on price, makes the car cheeper.

Not much is selling on here so will be advertised elsewhere soon. If your remotely interested get in touch, last chance at this spec/price combination. ;)

I too was impressed with the number plate thing on this car, so that was what I decided to do to mine.  Try as hard as I did, I could not find one, so ended up having to fabricate one, but its not quite as successful as chrisgixers...

I am rather suprised this vehicle has not yet sold. Purely my opinion; but I feel this is a very good example of the Omega. I've seen this car numerous times and it's always kept well and looked after. Chris (hopefully won't mind me saying) is a perfectionist. The normal Omega issues with suspension, and engine have all been sorted...and sorted well, no corners cut. Plus, add in the benefit of it running on LPG and it's an appealing offer.

Not even for the cars or era of cars I suggested above? We hired a car in the mid 80's in the States with the fuel filler behind the number plate (Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme) so they must be around.

I searched around for ages. Maybe my search terms were wrong, do this spring loaded, hinged numberplates have a special term/name, as I am after another ::)
