Soon be time to lock all the pets indoors and all the idiots letting fireworks off in the streets  :(
Looking in a shop window today from the car and see : 5 small rockets for £12  :o :o :o
I dont know how folk afford to let them off at that price  ::) Firework displays are good but still think they should be banned to the public to buy  :y

Ban em!

Displays only. The public use stuff is pathetic. Go to a proper display imo. Cheaper, less irritating to neighbours. Safer. And you get a better experience.

Emptying the magazines of two blank firing Beretta semi automatics next to Benazir Bhutos Surrey  retreat on a Wednesday lunchtime was quite entertaining as I recall ::)

Retired to the pub opposite to watch the ensuing chaos ;D

He said, clearly failing to appreciate the point of Guy Fawke's night. ::)

But yes, the publically available stuff is a bit tame. Agricultural crow scarers are much more entertaining.  8)

Has somebody remembered to ban Byron from buying napalm for the OOF celebrations this year?

My mate lived in Uganda in the 1990's and the Ex-Pats at the Kampala Rugby Club got a load of fireworks one New Years Eve, but didn't think to notify the authorities.  ::) Or maybe didn't want to pay the authorities!  ;)

Anyway, they had their firework display and nearly set off a regional war, as everyone thought an invasion was underway!!  :o  ;D

Not necessarily.. Just discretely hang the rope up down the back of the garden, light the end and watch and wait. ;)

Due to being somewhat shell-shocked concussed in the aftermath, I don't seem to remember actually buying any :-\

... and it was Lazydocker's cocktail concoction that caused the carnage got outa control ... no wonder that he had it away on his toes a bit sharpish. Ain't heard from him since ... either ::)
