Just get a helmet you can afford webby. The ones on ebay at £24 automatic. Work well for being cheaper. Never had a flash and I been using it a while. You got a welder then?

Not yet mate. My birthday's this weekend and i just been paid so looking at realistically early nov...unless i get impatient and just order it tonight  ;D ;D ;D

Ps, i hav been watching loads of vids (excited bear) :):):)

is it better to ''push'' or ''pull'' the weld? couldnt really understand the difference other than one looked slightly thinner?

You should pull the weld with MIG as this means the shield gas is blowing over towards the now cooling weld pool which minimises oxidation

A slight angle......or you wont be able to observe the weld pool to control your welding.   :y
