Well DBG....
I've done a few of late lol
The worst i got was 11.3 secs. However, it was a wet day and i got LOADS of wheel spin with the TC light coming on for a while.
I did a run in the dry the other day. almost imperceptable decline. 8.7 secs.
I did another dry run on an almost imperceptable incline this time.... 10.6 secs.
my reasoning for this is that the time i hit the pedal and hit the stop watch are different each time. which is why ive always been eager to do a 100% flat, dry run with a special GPS 0-60 but ive no idea how people do them???
I think that's why they tend to do two runs, in opposite directions, even slight a tailwind can speed up a car my noticeable seconds. Certainly that's the logic behind the old two runs idea in land speed records comes from.
Not sure how much a tailwind would affect Thrust SSC, like
I suppose, technically, it would hit the 'sound barrier' (different at various altitudes/pressure, of course) a bit later, actually? Hmm... slightly off-topic.
Lit up the back tyres three times in the last fortnight thanks to greasy roads, and probably horrific camber set-up. I'm only keeping the car for another few weeks, hopefully, so really trying to spend as little time/money on it, and get as much money poured onto the V6s resurrection.
