Gave the car a really good clean today, and got the new badge on. Thanks to everyone for their help, opinions and advice 
Not great pictures but compared to how it was, they're excellent!

General Car Chat / Vx winter service.

Got a leaflet though the door yesterday advertising new models, mobility deals, etc but on the back there was an offer for a winter service for £129. Doesn't explain what is included, but it does come with a free set of 'snow socks'. No mention of V6 being excluded either.
Is it worth a stamp in the service book?
IMO probably not, but just thought I'd seek your views

I know there are two different types, but do they look the same?
Following on from another members thread I thought I would check there was a filter at all!
It looks the same as the one I put in my MFL, and I was just wondering if there should be a visible difference?

Car Parts, bits For Sale & Wanted / F/S 'Vauxhall' badge

Whilst trying to gather up badges to replace those taken off the boot for respray, I bought this on the bay but it was the wrong one....d'oh 
It is a newer type lettering, with a squarer, beveled edge rather than domed.
Not for an Omega then, but I know that some of you have other Vaux motors.
It is new in the wrapping, and the part number is 93179480.

Just in case anyone is interested?

Car Parts, bits For Sale & Wanted / F/S Autoleads adaptor

I have an autoleads adaptor for the Omega, which allows an aftermarket HU to be used with the steering wheel controls. I used it on a MFL and not sure if it is suitable for a FL?
Thought I'd put it up here in case anyone's interested first.

General Car Chat / Part number for Griffin badge?

As above really, for 02 saloon. Seems to be a couple of different ones, maybe for different models; estate, etc.
Mine has two pins - the central one, and the secondary which is to the left, if looking at the back of the badge. Or to the right then, if looking at the front of the badge, eg while on the car.
Does that make sense 
If anyone can find out which is the correct one, I'd be extremely grateful.

General Car Chat / Petrol gauge 2.5 vs 2.6 ...

On my old 2.5 Omega the 'low fuel warning light' illuminated with about 50/52 miles left on the range computer, which would later indicate when there were 31 miles left. I'm sure you know what I mean. On the new 2.6 the range computer indicates at 31 miles before the low fuel light even comes on, and quite often when the needle indicates a quarter full. I know neither can be wholly trusted, but it just seems strange. The Reflection was manual and the Elite is auto, but I don't think that should make any difference to the gauges.
Just wanted to ask if this was common?

General Car Chat / Omega badges

My car is going into the body shop to have some work done to the tailgate (not my doing!!) and I have a few qs about the badges, as they'll need to be removed / replaced.
Firstly, what's the best way to remove them? Heat? Fishing line? Both?
Has anyone replaced the standard griffin with a new one, as in the Insignia? I think it might be larger, and although toying with the idea (only because I have to replace it anyway) I'm not sure how it would look. Any thoughts?
And lastly, positioning and content. What is the standard setup / wording on a 2.6 Elite saloon?

General Discussion Area / Plumbing question?

Went to use the cold tap in my kitchen and have found that the tap doesn't turn very far, and there is a poor trickle of water 
The mains is ok, as the outside tap runs from the same source and still has pressure, etc.
Anyone any ideas before I get fleeced for a callout plumber? I imagine it must be the tap but I don't want to start taking it apart without knowing what I'm looking for.

Omega General Help / Brake pedal noise?

Having recently returned with a new Omega, it's my first FL and coincidentally the first auto. Only been two weeks, and no real issues so far other than the missing CDC3. Still needs tlc and some work, but I'll get there (with your help of course    )
Tonight though noticed something strange. Pressed the brake pedal to start the car and heard a noise coming from the area of the selector switch. Only occurs when I press the pedal, and sounds like a mechanism or something moving? Never heard it before though it may have been there already.
Anyone any thoughts? More importantly, should I be concerned?
