Title: New Exhaust
Post by: bluewaves31 on 29 August 2019, 10:52:40
The exhaust on my 2003 Vauxhall Omega CDX is already worn out. What brand of exhaust kit (https://4wheelonline.com/Exhaust_Kits.17) should I replace it with? Preferably something not too loud.

Buy one of these... Be aware that saloon and estate exhausts are different. As are the 4 pot ones :y

pretty sure the only difference is the 2.6 only had 1 exit tip ,so a 3.2 one would fit but have 2 exit tips  :y

That's because it doesn't include the front down-pipes which have the pre-cats, main cats and lambda sensor ports. The catalytic down pipes  should last longer than the exhaust itself. None of the exhaust only kits include the cat pipes. It would triple the cost, at least.

You haven't confirmed that your car is a saloon? The estates need a different kit.

Yes they do. See here. (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Opel-Vauxhall-Omega-B-2-5-2-6-V6-Saloon-Silencer-Exhaust-System-350-/251165535785?hash=item3a7aa1ee29)

For anybody who wants one of these, try the 'Make an offer'. They'll respond within a (working) day with a counter-offer. I got a 350 kit for £80 delivered a couple of years ago. Delivered from Germany within a week. That said recently they would only offer £5 off an estate exhaust.

I've also noticed that there is less choice and the prices are creeping up. I suspect no more Omega B unique exhaust parts are being made by anyone. We are all using up old obsolete stock.
