Hello everyone this is all new to me can anyone tell me where i can get a works manual something like haynes my omega is a w reg 2000 CDX been trying to get one with no joy also can anyone tell me what colour wire on the back of the radio is for the speed sencer as i need to wire my sat to this please help thanks ian :-? :-?

Ian,

I think your concern is that Haynes Omega book doesn't cover your facelift model..?

Most of your car will still be as per the Haynes manual - certainly the engine and I suspect the running gear too.  So in my opinion worth getting the Haynes.

......As well as checking out the howtoo and maintenance guides on here.  If in doubt, simply put up a post in this section and you will get a zillion different answers - most of them correct!!   :D

That's what I told a guy in Halfords yesterday looking for a tractor version of Haynes - all models except 2.5TD & 2.6  :o

Do you know how different 2.6 is to 2.5 ?- I know they have the long plenum and drive by wire

No ICV, no DIS pack - the ignition coil is above the spark plug - are two other differences that I can think of.

- no throttle cable (2,6 is drive-by-wire)

2.6 has lower compression ratio than the 2.5 - also no secondary air injection or EGR ...

speed sensor wire is blue/red - pin 5, should be shown as "SCV" in the picture below ... double-check the colour first though  ;)
