tried all this and the unit resets fine for the radio but the cd still gives the SAFE setting.

Leaving it over time hasnt worked as in the last month the wrong code hasn't been entered what i am thinking is, is there a limit of wrong entries, for instance if its entered wrong 3 times the unit is then locked and can only be reset by a main dealer after they have checked ownership.

There is no seperate code for CDC on this unit. The unit has a fault, and needs repair/replacement.

sorry have to agree with "the boy" on this ,you normally have 10 attempts but as its an all in one unit the memory chip isnt communicating with the cd changer/vice versa its a strange one.

I've just ordered a reconditioned unit through Vauxhall for £117.50, cd player just stuffed on mine though.
