General Car Chat / Re: So what have you done to your car today?

Watched the new owner drive my 3.2 away, going to miss that V6 sound.

No Omega in the tunnie household now, first time since 1996 when FatherT got his GLS  :o

1993, if you count a Carlton.

Tiny little flat head, to wiggle under the paper-clip style thing holding the ball on. Be super careful as it can easily ping off never to be found again, so put your hand/fingers over it as you wiggle the clip off.

It was bad timing, had dinner on the go, otherwise I would have given him the double barrels on what I really think of the Corbyn.

I went in there once with one of the torx sockets that sheared off, an animal called Omegatoy destroyed it.

It was one of those life time warranty things, took it in when next passing:

Halfords: How the hell did you do that?

Me: No idea!

Halfords: Here is a new one.

Not quite same flow as AA's story, but they gave me a new one without quibble!

Certainly the 20way seats in my one, also available in the XF, were more comfortable than any Zaf I've been in, though maybe I got the setting just right :)

But your short arse, properly sized people like me at 6ft5 find most seats lacking in thigh support.

The extending front part in the SRI trim, are very comfortable and supportive.
No, Lanky, I'm normal. In every way.

;D

In other news flying pigs just took off from my close.  ;D

Seriously though, I put these seats on par with Elite cloth. Huge drives to Ireland and back and no issues with back pain , super comfy.

Hence I kept it for myself.

Car Parts, bits For Sale & Wanted / Re: Sachs Saloon Springs
« on: 04 November 2019, 19:31:34 »
I have a 2x pairs of un-used and brand new coil springs for the front & rear.

Fronts are still boxes and un-opened. Rears are new although not boxed.

These are non-SL type.

£75, ideally collected due to weight. I need to better investigate large parcel posting.  :-\

Thanks 🙂

Off topic but may I suggest :  https://www.parcelmonkey.co.uk    never let me down yet  :)
