General Discussion Area / KIDS errrrrrr
« on: 03 June 2007, 17:30:10 »
Yesterday, whilst out getting the car sorted for the lakes meet,a young kid on a mountain bike lost control of his said bike and slid into the front of my car leaving a 12" gash and damage to my irmsher front bumper. He then gets up,gives ME a mouth full of abuse and buggers off. What do you do ,you cant go after him and give him a clip on the ear, or talk to the parents, cos your likly to get the same from them as well.

I am really fed up with this country now, and if the chance came i would be off like a shot. >:(

I have a set of Budget Ceat Tornado tyres, came on the alloys when I purchased them, well wearing but a load of shite as they are full of flat spots, had them checked out.
Over 70 mph its like being in a bone shaker. They now need changing, All four, looking to spend in excess of £700 for a good set of Michelins.

:£700 on tyres is all well and good, but not when the car is only worth half of that to begin with ;)

:o£700 for a set of Michelins?  search the web mate and you will get a set  sent to you for about 120 each, add the cost of getting them fitted , less than 700. :o

Tyre life is also dependent on the quality of the tyre that you buy, with avon you should get resonable life from those.Buy budget= poor tyre life and  grip in the wet stuff.

Hi james, i run the same tyres as you elite, and it does depend on your style of driving. I have a set on the back and have done28000 miles and have 2.5mm left so  expect to see 32.000miles.front tyres about  15-20,000 if your geomatory is bang on.I have pilot primacys all round and have a set of pirelli p7's to go on when needed. :) :y

Hello guy and girls, was wondering how many tourer owners we have in the membership list, and was there any reason other than  "it's an estate" made you buy it.
You dont see too many of them on the road although they pop up now and then.
Gary ;)

ATS in twickenham have just fitted two pirelli p7000 to my mv6 alloys and balanced all 4 on the car, noticed that the inner edge just starting to show some wear on the fronts.Fitter said to me witout being prompted, cant do the tracking on omegas,we dont have the equpment to get it right.Car should have at least  50kg in the front footwells, and it might not be the tracking anyway. Honest guys.Could have tried to fob me off but didnt. As i did not get the tyres from them they could have screwed me on the price but only charged me £15. v v happy. :) :)
