Sometimes when the revs are low and if the brake pedal and clutch pedal are pressed at the same time, the clutch pedal is failing to return to the up position.
Brake fluid replaced 5 years ago.
Brake fluid levels spot on.
Clutch done 100K but the bite is nice with no slip and zero judder from the DMF
Sometimes the clutch pedal is slow to return up. Maybe taking 3 or 4 seconds.
Its a 2.2 TDI
Any ideas ?

Fluid is upto three years too old. Change it and report back :y
May also be a failing clutch master or slave. Had similar behaviour on my then year old Seat Altea.
Fluid first as it's overdue ;)

I've never been under the bonnet of it yet.

Just been told by mini me that if you blip the throttle the pedal pops back up again.
Me thinking vacuum leak on the clutch master cylinder :-\
If so, whereabouts' does it pick up its vacuum from ?

engine driven vacuum pump.
Probably off one of the camshafts.

Why would it need a vac on the clutch ???
Possibly the slave being thrown back out by the centrifugal force from the flywheel which would push the fluid back up to the master, in turn resetting the pedal :-\
Meant to say earlier that ended up changing both, partly because the Dickhead main dealer assumed that it was the slave (because it was a) easier and b) cheaper (warranty job) :-X lasted a day ::) once they changed the clutch master all was well... Also it only lasted about 800 miles between sticking and complete failure.

Going off a picture I found on t'internet.
Looked like a plastic nipple for a vac pipe :-\

Looks like that plastic nipple may actually be the feed from the brake master :-\

No vac assist, just a feed from the brake res and an output to the slave.
Honda always have issues with clutch hydraulics, I wouldn't mind betting that if you checked the slave cylinder seal in the drivers footwell that its leaking.
