I'm a sucker for old fords, but that's probably due to my history.

From pics of my dad rallying MK1/2 escorts to spending good chunks of my childhood being driven round in a Sierra XR4i, they hold a lot of fond memories.  8)
Me too, i fell out of love with big Fords when they brought out that abomination that was the Scorpio. :o I had three Grannies of MKs 1,2and 3. loved em all.

Likewise, except the Mk1  ;) Dad bought a very late '99S boggle eyed pig, aka 2.3 16v Ultima estate in metallic black, actually looked ok with smoked headlights :D

He got rid when the heater matrix blew all over his leg on the A11. It must have really pissed him off because he replaced it. With an '03 Scenic ;D

Shame really, by all accounts a good car, other than its usual dose of Essex tin worm.

But Christ alive, that face!

Especially in moose, sorry Nantucket, grey :D

It was a shame they couldn't be bothered to develop/build it properly... They still had the captive nuts in the chassis rails for the Mk3s antirollbar mounts ;D

The Omega was the car the Scorpio should have been :-\

Yes.....the Scorpio certainly fell from the ugly tree. Perhaps Chris Bangle designed it on his day off. :)

There is still one of the bug eyed Scorpios local to me , a burgundy coloured estate old boy drives it has a private low digit plate & looks absolutely immaculate.
