Omega General Help / 3.2 Breather pipes.
« on: 07 June 2019, 16:40:44 »
One of the 3.2's was in at Serek's place today for an HBV change and to identify an oil leak (crankshaft seal) :o It was pointed out that the breather pipes were a bit past their best and new ones were needed. Question being....that it's unlikely to find new ones,so as a long shot, does anyone know is it likely that silicone replacements are available....somewhere out there. :-\

General Car Chat / Re: Omega replacements- what's yours?
« on: 03 June 2019, 19:47:45 »
Still have my three Omegas, and don't see any point of getting rid of them as I still get that old school pleasure of  driving them. The VXR8 gets the odd weekend airing to a car show and it's pretty mental to drive. But I still prefer the Omegas to poodle around in,maybe its possibly a better the devil you know than someone elses old crap thing ::)

The upside to that is..that the chance of having the same car sitting alongside you at the traffic lights or parked next to you at Tescos is virtually zero. But if you were driving a Euro or Jap shitebox, hmmm?? :P ;)

Would prefer complete switches, two of mine are covered in that Chernobyl silicone trim shite. There's nothing that will touch it, other than brake fluid which takes the original coating off, leaving a bare surface to work with, hence the need for a couple of spares while I have a go at the damaged ones...and just to make sure that if it doesn't work out I'll have a couple of spares. Also I've managed to find some other various new old stock switches, but not the hazard type. :y

Looking for a couple of F/L hazard light switches, condition not important as they are going to be refurbed. If it's possible can admin move this request to the relevant section. TIA :)

Looks like my 640 ponies on the VXR8 are going to go to waste,if this ever happens.....looks like it'll be going back to its birthplace as some already have, since Holden shut down. ::)

Omega General Help / Re: Best EBC pads for the 3.2.
« on: 21 March 2019, 16:02:02 »
Having listened to all the advice,EBC appear not to be the answer,I guess I fell for their products 'big up' I'm with Serek in a week or two and may tweak the to do list, depending on the bottom line for the Monaro set up. Again thanks to all for your input :y
