Dear Ian
We thank you for your valued enquiry and have pleasure in quoting as follows: NiMH battery AB2761 for the Car Alarm (Audi and Vauxhall Omega Powersounder).
The original battery for this unit was 2 button cells each 3.6 volts 150mAh (Emmerich batteries that are now obsolete). The 2 batteries were set side by side in the alarm unit with a spring connector inside the “figure 8” battery location to connect them in series, and 2 more spring connectors to connect to the circuit board. There is no direct equivalent to the obsolete Emmerich batteries so this battery (Univercell AB2761) is offered as single 7.2v 150mAh battery to do the same job inside the alarm. Some modification will be required to the plastic moulding of the battery location in the alarm. The new battery is 7.2volts so the spring connector inside the “figure 8” battery location is not required. Connection to the circuit board can be by the existing spring connectors on the board or by soldered connection to the tags on the battery. Please observe the battery polarity and install correctly, red is positive. Take care to avoid short circuit when installing the battery.
See pictures attached to email. If the user can suggest any detailed changes to improve the design please contact Univercell. These batteries are made to order.

Omega General Help / Power Sounder Battery
« on: 11 September 2007, 15:37:30 »
I found a source for the power sounder battery getting hard to find now since Emmerich the maker of the
Z3A120 is no-longer, about £3.00 each + postage.  I think as I  got to get the foreign currency to pay.

Might buy some extras, let me know if you want any?

Not 100% will send to UK though.

General Car Chat / Opelscanner add-on
« on: 03 July 2009, 19:30:02 »
Attention AutoscannerOpelCAN users!

We have some experience in Opel ECU investigation in order to reveal some undocumented features. As a result - we can read security codes directly from engine ECU using USB interface. Currently the following ECUs are supported:
    * ME155
    * ME761
    * Simtec 71
    * Multec H
    * Multec SF
    * HDRC
    * Multijet 6JO

The CAN modules are also on the way. The engine also ECU can be reseted directly.

Mentioned features, as well as some others, will be released in AutoscannerOpelCAN Professional version. The software will be distributed with USB dongle.

Attention forum members, who do not own our genuine product!

There is a possibility to release software and hardware (with CAN bus support) with this functionality only, e.g. security code reading, engine ECU reset, etc.

Using thing functionality it is possible to read the security code from mentioned engine ECUs in seconds, which allows to avoid soldering, applying specific devices like programmer, etc.

Also this can be very helpful at engine ECU exchange, when new ecu to be installed is not reseted and security code is unknown.

General Discussion Area / Brake part prices
« on: 27 September 2010, 20:37:18 »
Jason of All German Parts sent me this:
Had Good sevice from him re : wishbone bushes, and complete bones
and rear donuts & cam belt.

Brake part prices he e-mailed me for V6 1999 elite not sure how it compares to Trade Club????

Hi Ian,

I hope you are well today. Sorry for the delay but you did the worst thing possible-telling me there’s no rush-it’s the Kiss Of Death.. Timing belt set can leave whenever you're ready.

Bit of a rethink on the brake situation in that I have decided to offer brake components in both TRW which you may know as Lucas Girling and Ferodo. TRW is an OE supplier of brake components such as brake callipers, servos and master cylinders etc and sells super quality brake friction too, whilst Ferodo is a new account we have, and apparently their brake friction is fitted to eight out the ten most popular new cars sold. OE on VAG which for me is a good sign.

I have listed the choices in a table below for you to have a look at and feel free to ask any questions. I think the prices should be competitive but let me have some feedback.
