If I change it, is it the normal filter or charcoal from Euro Car Parts?

A wet / damp Pollen Filter doesn't help.

How do you check that? Where is it located?
2 min job, lift bonnet, NS on the scuttle panel, lift flap, pull out Pollen Filter.

Cheers, I'll check that. No idea when it was changed😀

Used to have one and very handy when I smoked  :) to let the smoke out. Don't need one now though.  :(

I do, I'll have to try that😀

I use the sunroof all year round, and it's one of the extra features of an Elite I wouldn't do without. Tonight was a good example; with the outside temperature at 20(which is what I have the CC set to) there was a nice supply of fresh air as I wafted along the M2 at 75mph.

I like the climate control too, but it's more useful on cold damp days or when the temperature is above 25.

Was that on tilt, or fully open?

check the vents in the boot are clear - drivers side bottom of first aid box cubby hole

wipe the screen with a mild detergent solution or buy the same thing - anti mist screen wipes.

fix your air con

Thanks, never checked that. Will update.

Only time I use mine is to vent hot air from the car, all windows down and sun roof tilted up.

Drive at speed to vent all hot air and then close up for air-con  8)

Apart from that, bloody useless things....

Adds weight to the car & can leak as well😋

Am I right in believing to get the full benefit of the sunroof fully open or on tilt, you should keep the windows closed? Does it keep the car cooler, than having the windows open instead?

Observing some of the comments on this forum, mine mists up terribly in the winter. If the climate isn't working, as it is not one mine, for demist. Is this a common problem with the Omega?

Got it back today. £20 for the valve and pipes of EBay, £90 labour, £10 two litres of coolant. Just need to get the climate gassed now😀

3 times now i've restored non functioning air con on a mig by just recharging it, why not try it? and if it is really knacked eg leak or pump gone, costs you nothing at ATS or kwick fit..  its not getting any cooler out there..
The leak has to be absolutely catastrophic for you to get away without paying ;)

Get any amount of refrigerant in there, and the Omega holds a shit load, and it will be cooler than before.

Too true. Mine needs regassing, too hot with no climate surrounded by black leather☀️

Plus if it has a leak of some form it could be as simple as the HP valve.

But I get what you mean about not wanting to spend on it cos the system is complex and it could be simple to fix. Or expensive. Depending on the issue.

HP Valve? Had mine regassed last summer, lasted six week. Had it regassed again, had lost over 50% in six weeks. Any ideas?

It might stop a leak, but it will bugger up the cooling system as a whole... I would wager that you sold the Rover very soon after :-X

No, I got another two years with no coolant problems. Was scraped due to loads of work needed to pass the MOT.
