Since I bought the car, the front passenger door was staying unlocked. After replacing the car battery, it rectified itself. Now it has remained locked and will not open with the central locked or by manually pulling the lock up. Any ideas, possible reset?

Probably worth resetting the Climate Panel as well, if its just been re gassed and has been sitting for a while.

Cheers, seems to have made a difference.

I would hesitate to disagree with Nick, but while I cannot speak as to mpg, my 3.2 seems to like Shell super as opposed to supermarket super, and definitely feels more spritely. :y

I might give it a go, nothing to lose. Essco super?
Certainly wont do any harm, I occasionally put Shell SU in if theres a promotion going on with the Shell Drivers Club Card thingy, sometimes the extra points equals out the extra costs.

 :y

Cant honestly say it mase much difference in MPG on any of the Omegas, the little 1.6 Tigra likes it, some Shell SU in that can achieve the magic 50 MPG on a run.

Averaging about 24mpg around town, with aircon on. Would a change to super unleaded increase the response from the engine and mpg?

Could be the loom isn't making great contact in the iso block. I had is a while ago where the wires would squash when the head unit is pushed back causing nose sound then when pulled out would work
l

Tried that still no joy. There is just the high end coming of of the front right, not bass and lower volume that the left speakers. The is nothing from the rear right. Looks to me as if the rear might be blown? The front might have just had the bass blown. If the speakers need replacing, is it relatively easy?

I don't think Bose was ever offered as an option on any model, but was std on Elite.  It is/was, however, a fairly simple retrofit.

Is there a black shelf bolted to the top of the parcel shelf in the boot?

Not sure I'll have to check.

Not it doesn't. I've noticed the the unit resets its self when the ignition is turn off or on?

That's because the red and yellow bullets haven't been swapped over in the harness. Then the radio and settings will save

Thanks for that, swapped them over saving now.

It will if it's not seized solid,  see if you can turn it by hand first if not try and ease it with a few taps on a flat screwdriver.

Although it's an electromagnet so check the wires

Where it is located in the engine bay?

Could  be a rusty clutch. It is taking the grunt of our fine weather

Car has been sitting around since February. Not sure when the climate was last used, as it would not engage the compressed at all before the regas. If it's a rusty clutch, will it clear itself with use?

You shouldn't feel any loss in power with that lump,  do you have climate control?
All Facelift have climate control... Drag is normal, but probably made worse by being an auto ;)

Incidentally at full throttle/kickdown the engine ecu should momentarily disable the conpressor :y

Might it need a new belt for the compressor? I wonder if it's slipping slightly?

Tried that and fade.

Had the air con regased after buying the car and it is working well. Having had a diesel car before, is it normal to feel such a drag on the engine and lose of power on a 2.6?
