No 1 Murray
« on: 21 November 2016, 08:27:29 »

Nice to see Andy Murray retains the number one spot he got a couple of weeks ago.

A good match with a cracking rally in the eighth game.

Good to have a British number one :y :y

I kept waiting for Djokavic to wake up, he was certainly below par. But well done, Andy, no matter what happens from now on no one can ever take this year away from him.
Also, I doubt we'll ever see two brothers at No.1 at the same time in singles and doubles again.

Some knob on sky news has just been arguing that Murray is our greatest ever sportsman !
I don't see how it could be argued that he is the current greatest, that must surely be Lewis Hamilton, but greatest ever ? Do me a favour.  ::)

I saw that Jimmy Crankie got on the social media bandwagon pretty sharpish. Nice to have a British player up there though.

Personality is a subjective thing, but Hamilton is inarguably one of the all time great drivers, and might just win his 4th world championship in a few days time. Murray has been tennis world number 1 for about a week.  :)

Hamilton, although a good driver when driving the best car, is an arrogant little tw*t. Just my opinion, of course. :)

Imo, he is the best driver since Senna, regardless of what he is driving. Most commentators judged Alonso to be the best driver in F1, when the young Hamilton came into McLaren as his team mate, and made him look very average. I don't find him arrogant, I find him a bit immature sometimes. He seems to be having his adolescence a decade late, because he wasn't able to have it when everyone else does.
There is a fine line between absolute self belief and arrogance. For me, he is the right side of that line.
