Depends what you want from your tv:

https://www.techradar.com/uk/news/should-i-buy-a-hisense-television

Looking to upgrade my old Panasonic Viera TV during the sales.
Richer Sounds keep sending me offers c/w a 6 year warranty.
We have about 500 quid to play with and are looking for something around the 50 inch mark.
Looking to wade into the sales now the job front is pretty much stable  :)

Been thinking along similar lines Al
This one here is nothing special really.  Just a good solid TV which has been faultlessly reliable for a good 10 years.
Might go into haggle mode and see what happens

Bottom end Panasonics are crappy Vestal, not worth bothering with.

Samsung work for us, I would avoid LGE (having deeper inside knowledge of LGEs component sourcing strategy and the delights of Samwah capacitors)

Define bottom end ???

£600 is buys quite a lot of telly box...

Replaced an issue free (except shere size/weight) 11 year old 28" Panasonic flat crt nearly two years ago and not looked back... The space freed up by hanging the telly on the wall is worth every penny, and being another Panasonic made it intuitive to set up and use. Went led rather than plasma and no issues thus far.

Went led most likely LCD with LED backlight (very poorly marketed) rather than plasma and no issues thus far.

Corrected that for you  ;)

TX A and Bs appear to be Vestel, if going for those you may as well get a supermarket brand as its basically the same  :y

Middle of the road LCD panel with LED edge lighting  :y

Not the best in that sector by some way, quite a few doing rear LED with local dimming for similar
