CD player hung up over this weekend. first hung up on disc 4, ejected it then reloaded. now all i get is CDC error and magazine doesn,t eject. Can i get the mag. out through the slot or does the whole front need to be removed? TIA.

If you can get a hold on the 4 disc cartridge you may be able to help ease it out if it attempts to eject off the eject button.

Quite often the reason for the cartridge jamming is the miniature screws that hold it together start to work loose and the cartridge can go out of shape.

Had a go at it again, still no joy. Since i had the bump to the rear, (ooer) i have had a few little niggles with interior bits and pieces so it leads me to the fact that the car was hit harder than i first thought. :(

Try gently shocking/tapping it as you press eject button ;)

Just remove HU, strip it down and release the cartridge,

Have to put it on back burner as SWMBO has been admitted to local hospital due to severe angina.  Looks like a Papworth
job. Early days, but she has had it done before
