It'd be an SP30, Chris, if you do get done:

SP30      Exceeding statutory speed limit on a public road      3-6
SP40      Exceeding passenger vehicle speed limit      3-6
SP50      Exceeding speed limit on a motorway      3-6

ISTR a lot of people were incorrectly given SP50s a few years back when they should have been given SP30s - there was an appeals procedure put in place when it was realised.. 'course now I can't find a link to back that up 

I checked that link and can't find sp60 which is the code that dvla printed on my license,is this one that they no longer use as it was 6 years ago

I got flashed a few years ago doing 94mph in a 70 dual carriageway,got away with an sp60 for that as it was a first(and only) offence.I had a £60 fine and 3 points which are finished now

but it says "1996-2003 3.0L used in Saab 9-5" so would that be OK for a 1997 2.5 ?

its a big car for a 1.6 even in 110bhp trim,I have driven a few 2.0 hdi's and they are a nice drive,my dad runs a 2.2hdi exclusive auto and that has plenty of go(136bhp) but not great on fuel(circa 30-32 locally)

Sorted. Put the Cheapo Tech II on the car and eventually got it to talk to the car .... did it using year 2000. Got codes 0040 & 0161 ...... no idea what they are  :-/ cleared code and the ABS light went off, not straight away but it went of in the end.
Another result for the Cheapo Tech II 

andy,those two codes are  0040 speed sensor front right
                                     0161 brake pedal position switch open circuit

A friend of mine ran a fleet of omegas as VIP cars, usually for MPs etc who flew in to a local airport, and were then visiting various places,

he had the then PM Thatcher a few times he tells me.
