Hi all, my foglights have rusted inside so I need to replace them. Has anyone else replaced theirs and if so what with? originals (if availible) or aftermarket?.

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Battery Charger

Ive got the chance of a free battery charger and was wandering if it would be ok for the Omega. On the battery it says 12v 60 amp while the charger is 12v 10 amp. Would this be enough to charge the battery as the alternator chages at around 14.4 amps.

Would this cause any damage to the battery or electricals?

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Heated seats

My drivers heated seat doesnt work, ive checked the fuse but thats fine, the wiring is connected. Height adjustment works fine up and down. I set the heat controll to 6 the light comes on but nothing happens, the passenger seat heats up like normal.

Any Ideas on what to do next?

Omega General Help / Which clutch switch for cruise?

Ive read the guide and it lists 2 part numbers for a clutch switch, I'm unsure wich to get as my chassis number is WOLOVBF69X102####. Would I need the Clutch pedal switch 90494519 after S chassis (as mine to me reads X102#### making mine an X chassis)?

I dont want to order the wrong switch as they are quite expensive.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Omega General Help / Apex Springs

I'm looking at a lowering kit on ebay, it has apex springs and bilstein shocks. Does anyone have apex springs fitted or tried them on an omega? The kit lowers by 40mm.

If anyone has pictures (minifacelift in poplar sea blue if poss lol) wth
apex springs fitted or comments it would be greatfully appreciated.

Omega General Help / Spin on Oil filter conversion addage for how 2

Just done the above conversion as on the how 2 in the maintainance guides. This is just a note the admin may want to add.

The housing body was not held on by a 27mm nut, it was a 12mm allen bolt instead.

I ended up sawing the end of a 12mm allen key off to fit in a 12mm socket for extra leverage as it was very tight.

Omega General Help / Part Number Needed Please

I'm in need of an o ring that fits to the bottom of the air chamber box that sits on top of the plenum chamber. After removing it to change the cam gaskets, it was found to be perished and now its sucking in air.

So if someone has the part number, I would be very grateful.

Out of curiosity why does the Lambda sensors and Ignition Timing Retard wiring need doing?

Omega General Help / My keys need replacing?

Hi Guys, the locking button on my key will not work. After taking it apart, I found the weld to be cracked. The door unlock and boot open buttons both work.
 Could I replace the fob with a new one, use the current blade and chip part with a new fob without having to get it recoded?. The other key fob has broken welds on the battery holder so it will not work at all. Ideally I could do with two new fobs.

Omega General Help / MV6 Running Rough On Cold Start Up

Hey all, I cleaned out the ICV (if thats what the thing that sticks out the side of the plenum chamber???) with some carb cleaner and squirted a little in to the pipes too.



I think some carb cleaner travelled down the pipe to back of the engine and got in where ever it connects to?

When I now start the car from cold, its idling around 400rpm and may need a little throttle to help get it started too. once the engine is warmed up it idles fine at around 600 rpm.

I dont know what to do next   so any help would be thankfully received ,

Have i done something spectacularly stoopid? should i punish myself by watchin the emmerdale farm omnibus on sunday?

Omega General Help / Greasing Rear Sunblind?

I fitted the rear sunblind t'other week and it seems it could do with a little greasing as when it rolls down, it kind of shudders and also the drivers side comes down first. Its not a smooth operation at all when it does go down, so I were just wondering what to lubricate it with?
