Title: For sale. 1998 3.0ltr Elite Estate.
Post by: MadMark73 on 08 September 2016, 19:31:55
My Omega is reluctantly up for sale.
She is a 1998/ S Reg 3.0ltr automatic Elite Estate in dark green.
Mot'ed until Feb 2017 with 117k on the clock.
Black leather interior in excellent condition. Exterior has some blemishes to be expected on an 18 yr old car, but nothing drastic.
The only downside is the cambelt is probably due being done and the cam cover gaskets are leaking but on the plus side I have a gates full belt kit and water pump and full gasket set to go with her.
She is running on MV6 alloys (original elite alloys available)
£395 ONO.  Car is in Taunton, Somerset.  Just of j25 M5.

I have no idea how to upload pics so if interested please phone me on 07455 550959.

Sounds a nice car, in dark green which is fetching. The only downside is the two largest jobs (timing and rocker gaskets) both need doing, which  if you can buy a well-serviced Omega with those jobs done, you've got a few years trouble-free motoring (umm...ish!) but of course hardly worth your while doing it, for a £395 sale. Tricky.

A bit like the cheap old watch conundrum - see an old watch, Smiths, Ingersoll, etc, it's only a fiver, not working, but worth £25 if serviced... cost of a service - £35....bugger! Best of luck with it, though, Pics will definitely help. Photobucket is what I use, very simple to do.  :y

Indeed. I have mentioned this to a mate who has said he might get another Omega once day if it's the 'right' one. Hope this goes to a good home soon.  :y
