The biggest challenge, in my eyes, is ground clearance.

Dunno about the x5 but a top end rr , if you have deep pockets, does go quite well in the snow even on standard tyres with height raised to max.

Just don’t give it too much welly in hills or bends, jobs a good one!

I occasionally treat myself, when travelling, to the colonels secret recipe. Its a damn sight cheaper than other options like McCardboard and BK.

I quite like it.  But it doesn't like me - I have to set the timer for 45m after finishing a Bargain Bucket, as its coming out, ready or not.

That did make me laugh out loud. Thanks for that!   ;D

As a fellow sufferer of enforced voiding after eating certain things while travelling the highways and byways, I know the feeling of the rapid double time duckwalk/run to the services from the car Park!
Just hoping against hope that no other bugger is in the cubicle already. ;D

......just one word.

Sink.

Let that ‘sink’ in.....   ;)

The Scorpio before the fugly bug eye was a very comfy and entirely chuckable car from a Trafpol point of view. Preferred the hatch to the saloon but both had very comfortable seats, especially the compilots one on motorway night Shift!  ::)

Doesn't ANPR auto dish out tickets? If it doesn't it should. damn sight cheaper than employing people. Just move one vehicle around . OR put it on fuel........

Yes it does, or they use info from the roadside camera vans.

One of our company courtesy cars was mistakenly deflected and scorned last month. Company got a letter looking for about £130 or so in vel duty.....

Yup, it’s an elite. Not actually seen the damage yet, just got the ‘Daaaaadddd.....’ text so dunno if the cover is good and transferable or if it’s fooked.

Lazydocker/nick w , will take one or other up on your offer. Throw me a pm as to costs posted to the fife/ky postcode area and I’ll square you up.

It’s a variation of the age old saying.....

Rules and regulations are for the observance of fools and the guidance of the wise......

If you won the euro millions next week would you religiously pay your cut to HMG or look to keep as much as possible for as long as possible?

Hand on heart, if I won I know the path me and my team of financial advisers would march down.....

In my experience the outgoing letter is franked 'in house' by the camera enforcement unit as it 1) gives a date stamp and 2) the postal rate is cheaper than standard general postage. This means that the date of postmark is stamped by the sender, not the post office, hence its ability to be used as a defence.

This 14 day thing is very iffy. It would have to be well over 14 days to escape prosecution.

No, it wouldn't. The 14 day 'thing' is in the primary legislation. It's a cast iron defence backed up by case law.

However, it only applies if you were the registered keeper of the vehicle at the time of the offence, and you hadn't recently changed address/bought the car etc. This was a hire car, so it doesn't apply. The RK will be the hire car company, so providing they got the NIP/S172 within 14 days then that section of the law has been complied with.

There are ways to defeat/frustrate speeding cases in Scotland for English residents - all depends on how keen the 'offender' is. Pepipoo is the place to research this.
Yeah....if you can prove you didn't get it within 14 days. :P

Date of postmark is considered applicable date, not date of receipt.

If said date is out with 14 days of date of offence then defence is complete and case is liable to be binned.

Rods, perhaps.

However removal of the various heads may offer some time despite for us to regain ground as regards the regaining of home grown hearts and minds?
