Youngest kid is trying to tell me a bratty girl at school is making her life miserable  :(
Second oldest daughter over hears our conversation & pulls the her little sister to one side
I thought she was gonna comfort the kid & then with arms folded I hear her say ; "Now tell me her name"
At that point I knew I was no longer needed :)

The rules changed for self certification due to illness ; 7 days became 28 days for a self sick note & the usual piss takers at work lapped it up   ::)

  https://www.gov.uk/taking-sick-leave

This is a  temporary measure & put in place so that surgeries can get the booster shots done

I`ve since heard that this will end towards the end of January.
One of these boys has already called in to say he  wants light duties only when he returns next Monday  :-*

General Discussion Area / Re: Do you know how wide your car is?
« on: 14 December 2021, 21:30:43 »

The cause is stupid people driving cars they can't handle.
A fix is removing the cars.
The cure is removing the stupid people as well. That's impossible, so a fix would have to do.

A government minister suggested this a few days ago in relation to climate change............  ::)

Which one?
I'm amazed that somebody had the balls to say it in public.

https://www.am-online.com/news/market-insight/2021/12/10/uk-must-move-away-from-car-ownership-says-transport-minister

Quote "Transport Minister Trudy Harrison MP has said........"  ???  ;D Here`s the CV for this genius :-

Trudy worked at Sellafield for 5 years as a technical clerk before setting up and running a childcare business.
Following a career break, Trudy was employed by Copeland Borough Council, first as a Locality Officer and then as Community Regeneration Officer. Trudy left Copeland Borough Council in 2013 to work as a Programme Manager for investors specialising in renewable energy and sustainable community projects.

I doubt very much if the E10 petrol in your Mig has anywhere near 10% ethanol anyway
The government approved guidelines state; " That to label the petrol as E10 it requires at least 5.5% ethanol"  ???

Digging around on the net I found this
   https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/introducing-e10-petrol

This document contains the quote above & compares our standards to Europe , for instance Holland requires a minimum of 7.5% ethanol.
