When I bought my one owner 2001 Omega in 2010, it was for sale in my local main dealers showroom, it had been reduced from 2995 to 1995 and looked absolutely immaculate & totally out of place with the other run of the mill Vauxhalls on offer.

Boris can build his bridge if he wants, but that the chunnel or any other means of transport will never tempt me to go to France.
I have never set foot in the place and I never will.  :)

Quite agree got no inclination to ever go there.

I've had 2 a 2.6 CDX manual saloon & a 2.2 CDX auto estate , the saloon was up till now the best car I have owned bought it with 50,000 miles kept it 5 years and put another 50,000 miles on it never had any problems at all.
The estate was okay reliability wise but definitely underpowered. Now replaced with the Merc , Jeep & Subaru Forester.

My daughter loves her Forester, 2011 I think, recommended by an OOF member, thanks for that. She has had it 5 years, and I doubt will get rid until it gives up, even though she could afford a Ferrari! :y

Second Forester we've had they are superb.

Used to think  Peter Wyngarde was cool back in the seventies until I read about his liking for Gents lavatories.

Yep, he loved himself alright and he portrayed that in his characters.  He was a heartthrob in his day, but you could always tell he was gay!

RIP though :'( :'(
:y Groovy dress sense though ;)
.

Got to agree with that those suits shirts & ties were fabulous in the seventies.😎

Unmarked Plod got me a few years back on the M3 , clocked at107 MPH: they said it would be an automatic court appearence for anything 100 MPH or higher.
They kindly looked after mu licence for me for 6 months.  >:( :(

Ron.

I must admit I have driven at some ungodly speeds. I try to be aware of unmarked cars but you can never be totally sure. :).
.

You and me both Opti, nowadays I do try my best to stay within the legal limits hard sometimes though.

I need to lose weight. 122Kg I'd like to get down to 110Kg or less

Farmfoods have small frozen ready meals, about 350Kcals. Not enough for an evening meal (Tea, dinner, supper depending on how posh you are) but maybe ok for lunch. Most shop bought sarnies are 500kcals or more and I'm sure my normal is more. Lets see how it goes. I did something like this a few years ago and it worked great, it's all about limit and control. If I get back to 110Kg . . . . . I can pig out !

If you are serious about losing weight I can recommend weight watchers, I was referred by my GP 3 years ago when I weighed 115 kilos got down to 95 kilos & have stayed there, like yourself I had lost weight previously but put it back on , you cannot go back to your old eating habits it's a complete change but definitely worth it, no more knee pains or shortage of breath, still eat well but no rubbish.
