Omega General Help / Re: Omega 3.2 exhaust

Very few of us run stainless on V6, most of us run ETS/Eternal systems from eBay.

Cheap, last really well.

Back in the day I remember Omegas being in showrooms...

Also no Zafiraís in showroom either!

General Car Chat / Dealer Showrooms

While waiting for the 3.2 to be sorted today, I walked to a Vauxhall and Ford dealer. I wanted to compare the new Insignia vs Mondeo. (By actually sitting in them!)

Whatís odd is neither dealer had one in its show room, the Vauxhall dealer did not have a single new shape Insignia. The Ford dealer had a handful of Mondeos. But these were outside, nothing inside.  :-\

They did have lots of crappy looking SUVís like a Mokka  :(

No idea what the little Ford SUV was, but looked equally crap!

For sorting my 3.2ís sills, an excellent job. Really pleased with the result, should keep the old barge going for a few more MOTís.

I joined the forum in 2006 and Serek in 2008 canít believe itís taken until 2018 to actually put a face to the name  :o

Iíll be back though, worth travelling to excellent people  :y

Yeah. Could be up to 10 or 15 mins at 7 that it needs to be on, before it would allow entry.

Yeah when I meant dropped smaller petrol was thinking of 1st gen & facelift 1st gen, they dropped the V6 petrol. Only having V8 petrol and V6 and 2.2 diesels.

Latest shape with XE platform has more petrols, be interesting to see how well they take off.

Issue us for second hand buyers, the 2006-2016 era is nothing but diesels.

They also dropped the smaller petrol, XF-R is petrol way to go. Like Lord Opti. 5.0 V8  :D

Iím strongly considering a facelift XF-S 3.0 Diesel as replacement for the 3.2.

I'm in Camberley, but can't help either sadly. I've not had day off since 3rd Jan, got a mountain of jobs to do at home.

Nice try but, no different.....changing the power plant does not change the car....

Humm not sure I'd agree.

Rover 75 with CDTi lump, wood dash, classic rover inside. (sh!t) vs MG ZT V8, different exterior and interior styling, with Mustang lump. Completely changes the car.

You could argue that the Lotus Carlton as well? No different from standard Carlton?

Nice little car, don't see many about so like the rarity factor but after being used to large cars I think you would soon tire of it despite its performance.

I drove home last night, tired, it was dark, just wanted to get home. Very thankful of V6 + auto + smooth ride.

Suspect I would get tired as you say of it being so small.

Also my commute is mostly motorway/large roads, so again not really suitable. If I had to blat to Reading on the country twisties however, I would consider one.

What radio unit is fitted?

"7 Safe" means you have seven attempts left, sure you are entering the right code?

Be aware many of those crap devices like firestick and chromecast are wifi only, so if your wifi is shite..... ;)

Chromecast (inc Google Voice etc) also currently has a massive flaw that *WILL* kill your network if you leave it in standby too long.  Google seem to be knuckle dragging about fixing it.

Amazon sell an Ethernet adapter for firestick, but its about £15 :o

Not so  :y

Suspect I would love it for a day, then get tired of performing origami with myself everytime I got in and out of the thing.

 ;)  ;D

Well that is that, me being 6ft5. The reviews did state lack of steering column adjustment a pain.

Jeez what's happening to Tunnie?!  :o

His type of car is a big barge that he can waft about everywhere at 40mph, but he's now looking at unhinged hot hatches!  ::)

Maybe he's had a liquid lunch?  :)

As said, not normally what I would look at. Fiesta ST etc don't appeal, but for some reason this does. As mentioned sound great and I think they look nice as well.  :-[ :-[ :-[

Suspect I would love it for a day, then get tired of its rock hard ride.

I had a Clio 172 for the day once. Great fun for an hour but by then I was done with it.

Very quick, but a noisy little fu*ker with a rock hard ride. The Fiat would probably be similar.

Now if you were 22 it would probably be great........not so good for an old boy like yourself though. ;)

Yes I think so, but still one for the garage if I won the lottery. Just not my daily driver....
