Omega General Help / Re: torque convertor lock up

At a light cruise, Omega 3.0/3.2 and 2.5TD lock up at just under 50mph.

Whats a tumble dryer? Do I own one?

Sounds suspiciously pink to me...

I seem to recall he was bankrupt following the demise of his career.

The fact they have not said does imply he took his life, or accidentally popped too many pills. Either way, very sad for those he left behind.

Can't say he was ever my cup of tea, but an unoffensive entertainer who came across as warm and caring.

I didn't have you down for blind optimism...
Silly me, you are absolutely correct, those useless, lying oppswits at euroshite have stitched me up again.

How hard is it to post a oppsing spring. oppswits.

Still, a cheap repair as things go .... 50 for the springs
That's what I thought when I ordered springs from that shit outfit Euroshiteparts. 3 weeks and *STILL* waiting for one, meanwhile the car is off the road.

Sorned it for now... Really looking forward to my train journey to work...
Oh dear.

General Car Chat / Re: So what have you done to your car today?

Put 94 of Opti's favourite love juice in it.

Thank goodness for A/C, and chilled seats.

I thought I was a gonna earlier, when sat on the potty, following eating something most disagreeable at lunchtime.

There was a big yelp, and a lot of blood.  Blotting, rather than wiping, was clearly the order of the day  :'(

Its made me feel quite delicate, and sorry for myself. Doubt there is any sympathy here though.

If enough air is getting it, it will bugger up the readings, and also upset the fuelling.

They do at our local in Dorset, Steve. Its novel..served in a large glass with lettuce, loads of prawns and sauce, and hanging round the outside of the glass, are big prawns, some with heads and tails and some with just the tail. Never seen it served like that before.....but it ain't 'arf nice, mate :)
Oh....and brown bread  :y
That was the yuppy 80's way of serving 'em. Went out of fashion to serve that way now (or more likely by putting in a bowl, probably can get away with less prawns).

Not that I can stand the damn things. Never eat stuff that comes out of the sea.

Never really liked the idea of these type of engines , never thought they would be any good.
They are actually very good, ignoring some design errors (or penny pinching) on the Ford units.

Pretty certain they close at 6pm, so 53 mins....   ::)
Well, that surprised me, they called me back, and promise the missing spring will be with me by the end of the week.

God knows how much time I've wasted chasing this (work will pick up the phone bill ::)), but at least it looks like its resolved :)

I hope they don`t mind picking up the man hours either  ;D

Fingers crossed the spring turns up or you`ll be wasting more of works time and resources next week  ;D
Errr, yes, quite ;D

Whilst I've heard of the original, I don't think I've ever seen it.

Never watched much telly as a nipper, as invariably when I got home after school around 6:30 ish, it was tea, then bed.
