This is still rumbling on with high ranking police officers looking at the floor like naughty schoolboys while being berated by men with long beards.

Why doesn't Britain stand up for itself?. :-\

About a thousand a week or roughly 50,000 a year.

It could be that old people have been unable to visit (or even contact) a GP......but is seems many are attributed to men in the 25-44 age bracket with heart problems.

Strange.

General Car Chat / Finally, I have a build slot for my car.
« on: 23 February 2023, 14:58:10 »
They say  (provided the motor industry Gods are with us)  Mexican bodies should start to assemble the car in the week commencing 3rd April. Provisional delivery date 'should' be some time in June.

However, they also say....it is possible the build may commence before this date.

They also say....it is possible the build may commence after this date.

They have given me have a 7 digit code that allows me to connect online with something called BMW Genius..... (is this seriously a thing ::)) With this I should be able to follow her progress until she is finally completed. I should also be able to follow her journey across the ocean, even down to the the name of the ship.

No, I don't mean seventeen and a half new pence.

I mean just 3 Omega currently for sale on Autotrader, and 6 Signums.

I seem to recall there being at least 100 Omega available every week a few years ago.

Not many left now.

General Car Chat / No washer bottle water.
« on: 27 January 2023, 18:31:48 »
Washer bottle full and I can hear the pump working but no washer water.

Cleaned the washer jets but still nothing wet at front and rear.

Washer pump filter? ( if there is one).....fuse?....which I doubt as I can hear the pump trying to work.

General Car Chat / Shagged battery or another cause?
« on: 13 January 2023, 14:55:26 »
Bosch 74 A/H battery that has been with the car since I bought it.....July 2015.

Been struggling lately and the battery will go flat in 2-4 days.

Checked this morning with meter showing 12.1-12.3 volts without the engine running. Car then fails to start ( just clicking )

NOCO GB40 gets her going again without a problem.

I'm thinking that with the battery at least 7.5 years (possibly much older) old, I should buy a new battery first.

Is it likely to be anything else?.....alternator?....voltage regulator?....Brexit?...Aliens? ;)

Generic stuff delivered without passion.

More police.
Fewer boats
More doctors and nurses.
Lower inflation.
Compulsory maths to age forty.

I imagine that he only has sex in the missionary position with the lights out.

Following the government rebate I pay roughly 41p per KWH during the day, and 14p per KWH during the wee small hours.

Can't seem to find definitive data on power output but guessing more than 1 KW.

I'm sure some boffin on here will know the answer.

General Discussion Area / According to Octopussy.
« on: 16 December 2022, 17:29:57 »
We can expect another 8% rise in January, and a further 20% rise in April exactly where the £67 government help stops.

 :) :)

The thrust of it....

Two young  crims with a police record as long as your arm decide to  rob a house.

The homeowner chases after them in his car and knocks them off their stolen Yamaha.

The end result.....

The homeowner is sent to prison for 22 months for GBH.  No charges against the young reprobates for attempted burglary or the stolen Yamaha.

Predictable really. :-X
