I have just noticed that the box for the pads states Omega 94-01. :-\

Mine is 2003. Did they change the pads in 2001?

Pads also fit Lotus Carlton 89-92.......apparently. :y

£88.38 and according to the box made in Germany.

They seem quite substantial.

Actually, Esso seems to be the better deal. They seem to always be a bit cheaper, plus swmbo likes them as she gets clubcard points.
That Esso station on the A31 at Wimborne, next to the Little Chef, is always about 5p cheaper than anywhere else. ???
ASDA £1.24.7 for unleaded here. Supermarket fuel, of course. Only suitable for ordinary cars, not omegas.

Forget the old 5 star petrol. The Omega is such an athlete it requires 6 star petrol. ;)

I used to feel the same about winter tyres and even when I had them on the rear axle didn't understand what all the fuss was about.  ::)

It's only now that I've gone back to ordinary tyres that I've understood how grippy they are.  :y  And yes they even go round and round in the summer!  :D  ;D

....as they overheat and lose that grip. ;D ;D

Presumably you need two sets of wheels an two sets of tyres to make the change over relatively easy?

Petrol used to cost nothing when I was a lad....... especially when I 'borrowed' it from Mr Johnson's Austin 1100 next door. :)

I've never had a problem with 'all year round tyres'.

They were designed as a compromise, and are suitable for both summer and winter driving.

We simply adapt to the different conditions.

Both humans and animal are well able to adapt.

For example....my sisters dog has just returned from the vet minus his balls.

The daft mutt hasn't even noticed that his crown jewels are missing. ;D ;D ;D

He is adapting well........even though he now has nothing down below to lick. ;D ;D ;D

LS 400  :-\ Engine bay looks a bit grubby  ::)

That's a lot car for a bag of sand,it'll hurt you if it should go wrong though :-\

Like the Mig though, almost 'disposable' prices, an expensive repair, throw it away and buy another one........ ::) ::) :(
Only if you're extremely wealthy like you, Mike. Poor Mr Opti only paid peanuts for his omega but has had to keep it for donkeys years, constantly paying for repairs he can ill afford. :(

Spot on. :'( :'(

I 'aspire' to own a  Daewoo, but sadly such a fine motor car is out of my financial reach. :-\

What is all this talk about winter tyres?.... :P :P :P :P

For generations we we have driven on all-year-round tyres in this country.
Surely 'winter tyres' are no more than a passing fad.

Less than five years ago nobody spoke about changing from summer to winter tyres.

Too much hassle....too expensive.

Why bother?  ;) ;D ;D
