Doesn't sound like you feel there's more in the claim then. So take it.

Personally I'd take the useless shower of shite to the ombudsman every time. Even if they rule a lesser payment, just to cause the bastards as much agro as possible.

Lloyd's being the equivalent of Taxis Al's Tony Blair, in my book.

So far it's been ten weeks and the account still has blocks on it. :-\

I have been offered £270 in full and final payment for their total *uck up when setting up my business account.

My question is this.

Should I accept their offer or take my complaint to the ombudsman?

What do you think?.... :)

If it's just a goodwill settlement, and you didn't actually suffer any real losses, then I'd bite their arm off and run. If £270 reasonably covers your quantifyable losses, then I'd grudgingly take it. If £270 doesn't cover your losses then take it to the onbudsman. AIUI any complaint to the onbudsman costs them £250 regardless of who is right or wrong so an offer above £250 often means they accept they've done something wrong, and are offering you reasonable compensation. If the compensation is indeed reasonable, it's unlilkely the onbudsman would uphold your complaint - imho.

I didn't actually lose any money so perhaps £270 is a reasonable offer.

.......landed on the mat this morning.

The details are as follows.

Fully comp for both myself and Mrs Opti to drive.

Excess.......£250

No claims discount...... PROTECTED

Total.......£128.38. I can't get it any cheaper on comparison websites. Not too bad, I think. :y

No way  :( You must be in your golden years if its as low as that or is that a month  ::) ;)

Without the dragon on the policy it would have been £104. :)

Dr. Opti, Nemesis is just around the corner......there are female Oofers, too!
I hope you took out your life insurance BEFORE this post!
 :-X

Ron.

I speak the truth, Bigron. :y

I once had to reverse a Honda Civic  out of a parking space for a woman because she'd spent the last 20 minutes trying and failing to locate  reverse.

Bless her. ;D

There should be a law that  allows women to only drive drive automatics.

Girlies simply have no idea about clutch control and which gear to be in.

Cooking and cleaning is what women do best.......stick with what you're good at girls, and leave the driving to us men. :y
