WANTED OMEGA ESTATE DIESEL
« on: 23 May 2016, 18:42:16 »

Now I have sold my Irmscher MV6 estate, yes the one that was on the bay for just under a grand :y :y, I need to find another late estate.
Will probably be '03, sensible miles, history?, not needing anything major, but some work not objected to. But must be diesel!

What have you guys got??

I've got some rocking horse poo :D which is easier to find than a low mileage Desmond.

But realistically, even an 03 plate running an average 12K a year would be at 156K so anything lower than that would be classed as low mileage for the year....

A diesel Estate with low miles are hard to come by these days. Most have mega miles on them, seen a lot scrapped latley as when fuel pump fails they are normally written off, too expensive to repair.

So you could be looking for a long time  :y

Surely there must be more modern diseasel estates out there with better performance and economy, and without the added feature of flogging a dead horse included : ::):)Think we all need to move on as the Omega is now doooomed!! ;D

There are two problems: you aren't going to find an estate that is as useful - even Volvo have fallen into the trap of sloping rear windows and tapered roof lines; a well-used modern diesel is likely to suffer from expensive issues that will wipe out any economy savings.

This is true, I got the wife an X type estate in April. nice car top spec 38-50mpg, but the rear seats will not go down flat and the roof tapers down to the rear. only the 2.0D but its not slow. :y
