Yup. They clearly though it would be a much stronger seller :D

With most BL cars of the era used you were lucky if it wasn't the whole doors!

Must have been great to be a car designer there. You finish your latest masterpiece and it gets approved, and then a bean counter tells you to adapt it to use the wings from a Marina. ::)

Wow! Nearly 12 hours later and no one has slagged Henry off for buying a French car!  :o  ;D

Very nice Henry! Let's hope we get a decent summer so you can go topless.  :y

Nothing to slag off... nearly bought one instead of the Focus... only reason not to was the lack of MoT.

Good looking car roof down or up 8)

That engine bay and O series engine take me back. <shudder>

I thought the engine wasn't that bad, actually, just let down by the car around it. That's if you cold make the oil stay in it.

Mine had an irritating habit of dribbling a little oil down from the back of the head somewhere onto the exhaust just as it was warming up, then it was OK. It meant that I left an impressive smoke screen on the first bit of motorway driving in each journey. 8)

Always had a soft spot for the 306 - a good looking car of it's time (and still decent looking today) .. they were Max Power fodder back in the 90s though which is probably where my soft spot originated

Marina

BL must have had a giant parts bin full of those ;D
