Tid looses time and date
« on: 29 January 2017, 19:36:28 »

Hi. Got a problem i havent come across before. The TID display in my girlfriends 94 omega 2,0 works fine for weeks, then suddenly it can loose the time setting and just show 00:00 01.01.1993 when she starts the car. We set the time and date again, and it will work fine for a couple of weeks before it resets again. I assume it looses power momentarily when the starter cranks the engine. The car seems to crank kind of slow, but engine starts almost immediately. Unknown age of battery. Can it be to poor battery condition or is it some internal fault in the tid?

Battery might do it...

2.0 doesn't take alot to kick it over... follow the starting/charging guide test and go from there :y

Thanks:) this was basically what i was thinking too. The 2,0 kicks in to life almost immediately when you turn the key. Even with low battery. Unlike my 3,0v6 which needs more time cranking.
