Modified armrest cupholder - trial attempt
« on: 19 September 2017, 19:36:05 »

It's only a trial so please excuse the poor quality, just wanted to see if the concept works.

The negatives are that the handbrake can't be engaged while you have a drink in the cup holder and the armrest storage space is reduced.

Let me know what you think  :)

Nice  :y

Where did you source that holder from?

Also what's that other retro-fit button next to the hand brake  :-\

The cup holder is a standard single VAG cup holder from an Alhambra / Galaxy / Sharan amongst many other VAG's.

Switch is to manually power up (it's wired from an ignition switched source) the 'old skool' Class II (up to 8 Watt) car phone as some of the locations of the sites I visit for work are a little off the beaten track and a standard phone / smartphone won't work.

Certainly an interesting idea, given the FL is devoid of options other than the crappy attempt in that armrest.
