Good week on omega repairs
« on: 03 November 2017, 06:55:07 »

Have left in a fews days  . .just to make sure all is ok  . . but have had good results on the following issues .

I have replaced my bodge repaired slightly leaking coolant rad with one from Coolparts (£57)

Job looked more difficult than it actually was & I would confidently do it probably half the time now.

Bigron  came down & after getting my rad in & all up & running together we replaced his one .

Almost had to get the "Kango" out to remove the epoxy resin repair Ron had done . ;D

All went well on Ron's car as well ( apart from a minor problem where a vacunm pipe connection broke off from

the back of the bagpipes  . . .  .brittle plastic issue )  we were however able to do a decent repair on this .

Ron's car was soon back together & up & running  & off he went back to Witham a very happy omega owner.

Have also managed to get to the source of the battery drain issue ( see electrical section)

TB is now gloating because it was he's hated Sony product that was at fault   ;D ;D

So all in all a good week for repairs on the omega  . . all carried out with excellent advice from OOF  :y

So all in all

Yep, happy Ron too - many thanks, Al.
Also, thanks to Omegod, I now have an expansion tank that I can see the contents through, which now contains red OAT antifreeze after Al replaced my radiator.
I was even serenaded by Al with his rendition of The Shadows' classic numbers - a real bonus!  :y 8) 8) 8)

No need for embarrassment, Al, I enjoyed it and was trying to think of another on to ask you to play - it might have been "Night Riders"?

Having seen the epoxy resin on the top hose, I'm surprised you managed it without getting the Kango out.  ::) ;D
Glad to hear Rons car is back in good health at last. And Als too of course.  :y
