A very neat assessment of the situation, Albs!
Also, they have finally realised that the "plastic pigs" are ineffectual, too, and are disbanding them.

Ron.

I was unaware that police use the Reliant Robin as a pursuit vehicle. :)

Doesn't ANPR auto dish out tickets? If it doesn't it should. damn sight cheaper than employing people. Just move one vehicle around . OR put it on fuel........

Yes it does, or they use info from the roadside camera vans.

One of our company courtesy cars was mistakenly deflected and scorned last month. Company got a letter looking for about £130 or so in vel duty.....

And that system is being extended all the time, so it will become ever more difficult for those driving illegally without the essential elements in place to do so.

The only problem is that there are not enough Traffic police officers out there to stop them and do the business.  Letters are sent when the APR cameras activate on a illegal motoring situation, but if the scum involved do what a lot of them do, not register their vehicle to their address....................!!!!

Once more, we can shout and scream about the scum getting away with it, but until we as a society put our hands in our pockets to pay for a great increase in the number of police officers, then that scum will get away with it, not forever as they will eventually get caught, but in the short term they may well do >:(

Take a deep lungful of air, Lizzie. ;) :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

To quote Michael Winner......."calm down dear" ;) :-* :-*

 ;D ;D ;D ;D :-* :-* :-* :-*

But, they are scum and although I do not totally agree with TB's cull list these people should definitely be on it! :)

I read that the numbers of tax evaders went from 1.2% to 1.6%, or something similar, so loss of revenue exceeds cost of issung discs. As said, no surprise, just one more daft government policy, like smart electric meters, aircraft carriers we cannot afford to crew or buy aircraft for, or HS2, etc. Add your own suggestions.
