Wire colours are different between DBW and non, so just stated 2.6/3.2 for ease.
Are you talking about “FPX”? If so this car did have a starting issue - when I looked into it in detail, the pin on the end of the red wire on this connector was broken, so whilst the connector certainly looked intact, that one wire wasn’t making contact.
Starts first time, every time now without fail. There was a box full of old ignition barrel, receiver etc in the boot, so someone had been having a good go at resolving it before I got there.
How do you know about this
The car also had a bad misfire - it was simply a loose wire on the 2-4-6 coil pack. We all love a free repair
After these two little jobs, in for MOT, failed only on a headlight aim, so now has a 12 month ticket.
