I'd love a TVR.

I mean, what's the worst that can happen? :y

Yes I would quite fancy that. You would need cruise control for the boring bits.

We are contemplating the idea of visiting all 27 EU countries ( staying in hotels -tunnie) but not just yet.

A friend and I have been thinking about a trip round the Baltics, so cross the channel to France. Turn left, Belgium, Germany, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Belgium, France and home!  8)

Maybe if we're feeling brave (or stupid!) cross from Estonia into Russia to St Petersburg and into Finland, rather than going straight from Tallinin to Helsinki.  :-\   :y  Although we'd have to get visas for Russia so a bit more hassle.  ::)

It was the hairy Bikers Scandinavia trp that got me thinking about such a jaunt. I suspect that area would be best in early summer before the mosquitoes came out to play.

If you were getting Russian visas you might as well go all the way to Leningrad. A most excellent city.

Yes to go from Estonia to Finland via Russia you would have to pass by/through St Petersburg so it would be daft not to stop a have a looky see!  :y  I went there in 1995, so it would be interesting to see what has changed, as back then they were still driving Ladas and eyed up your Levis with envy!  ;)

I went in 1980. Cars were a very strange mix , especially in Moscow, you had Zils and luxury cars and battered old ladas an those strange upturned bathtub cars. the latter were I think invalid cars. Leningrad is a very beautiful city.

showering the scenery with expensive bits of fibreglass as you travel through it backwards is the usual problem.
Boxsters do it too, but the bits are even more expensive, and not made of fibreglass ;D

The main problem I see with your proposed route Sir Tigger is that you will have to endure France, even if for only a short bit IMO :y

I always recall when TVR were contemplating entering LeMans and remember thinking, they do realise its 24 consecutive hours they have to run for.

I find French roads far better than here. And French drivers, despite all being pissed by 11am, far better drivers than your average VW/Nissan/German Bafhe mong...

I was there the first year they entered. Lost count of the number of broken down TVRs I passed on the way home. ;D
