Sounds like he is describing 'gap-toothed bounder' Terry Thomas.......or perhaps TB.

I turned up in a new unit with my not 6 month old XF back in 2009.  I did not hear the end of 'Jaaaaaaaaaaaaag' for several months.

I was even given a mug with it written on  :D

This is a jag:

Yep...a proper bank robber Jag. :y

With a 3.8 litre straight six engine it was just about the quickest four seater back in the day. The 'rozzers' had no chance of catching them in their ponderous Wolseley and Austin.

Got to agree with you Stemo they were absolutely beautiful cars much better looking than anything with the Jaguar name on it today, timeless & stylish.

Yup. Stunners!  :y

I prefer the 240 with its slightly daintier chrome work, but then I also like the earlier wire wheels.

At under £20k I think the 240 is a real bargain and is still quick enough to offer a few smiles and keep up with modern traffic.

I love the steering wheel. Leather string-backed driving gloves are a must for the full sixties experience. :y
