« on: 29 May 2018, 08:58:18 »

The petrol Corsa is about 12 years old, has done 4 miles since last years MOT. Been SORN since

Battery was flat as a pancake but now charged up. Been stood outside for last twelve months.

I voted 'other'. As I expect brake issues, especially handbrake.

Why emissions- because it has been standing so long? It is a petrol.

Putting my tin foil helmet on, I think that the new MOT rules and regs are designed to take older cars off the road whether they are petrol or diesel.  ;)

I would agree with you. So what might have been fine last month fails this test.

Agreed. Problem was that we hadn't been back for over 12 months. Still not sure what to do now. Next door neighbour wants to buy it!

You need to weigh up the cost, of keeping it, and renting when visiting blighty, could you not sell to friends, and use when in blighty for a small charge/ or annual mot/service as a fee.
