Terrorist attack?
« on: 14 August 2018, 21:30:19 »

A man drove a car into some cyclists and then one of the barriers[erected to prevent such an attack]last I heard 5 cyclists had been injured. The man-who is from the midlands- has been arrested and is not co-operating with the police although they've said it was a terrorist attack.A bit of information given out by the authorities[what it's got to do with anything is beyond me]is that the car was registered in Nottingham and has had several owners ??? ???

Think he must be anti-cyclist as driving a 10 plate Fiesta at an anti-terrorist barrier that's designed to stop a truck was never going to end in success ;D

It's far too soon to rule out inept and incompetent. Whatever his motivation might be.

The Govt. went on holiday last month for about 3 months, so if he is a terrorist, he is also backward.  ;D

My favourite quote came from one of the cyclists (not one of the injured ones, granted):

"This kind of thing happens. You just have a cup of tea and a biscuit and carry on."

Most British response ever, I think?

Good old patriotic 'stiff upper lip' stuff.

So, a couple of wounded cyclists and he spends the rest of his life in prison. Hardly the sharpest tool in the box.

By tomorrow nobody will remember his name. Bellend.

We haven't had the wailing and public outpouring of grief yet, nor the carpeting of the scene with flowers. ::)

Talking of bicyclists, ALL the roads around here are being closed for a whole day meaning that I will only be able to drive to work via the A3 via Havant or the A23 via Arundel, Worthing and Hove >:(

So that will be a day in a hotel at work as it's between shifts >:(

Actually, I think there's something in the water, so maybe take some leave until it calms down?

Apparently the suspect wasn't known to the Police or security services, but may have been known to Jeremy Corbyn.  ;D
