How Far Would You Go For The Right Car?
« on: 13 October 2018, 01:45:09 »

I've spotted a car for sale that I quite like the look of, but unfortunately it's way way Ooop Norf, so a long long way to go and look at something that might be a shed!  ::) :-\

However, and here's the thing. It's advertised on the forum for that type of car, has average mileage for the age, FSH by either dealer or specialist, looks great in the photos, good MOT history and it's claimed to have had all the things that go wrong with that type of car all sorted.  :y

There are a lot of dogs about and this one appears to be a well looked after example and the owner is clearly an enthusiast.  But it's a bloody long way to go for a car!  ::)  ;D

I think Opti started this trend. I'm looking at a car, but I'm not telling you what it is or where it is.........it's a secret. When/if I buy it, we'll have three pages of guessing what it is.

Depends on the rarity of the car, a 3yo ford fiesta, probably 25miles max as I'm confident I could find the spec/colour/configuration of my choice in Birmingham somewhere.

Something like the terracan I was looking at, where there's about 20 for sale in the uk, I'd probably travel as far as was needed.

I was trying to help keep your brain active.

Sitting watching endless inane episodes of Emmerdale and 'Corrie' will turn your brain to mush. :)

If it's located in Liverpool or Barnsley......buyer beware. :)
