The new Doctor Who.
« on: 17 October 2018, 15:29:49 »

Perhaps I'm a dinosaur but I can't help but feel that having a woman as 'The Doctor' is fundamentally wrong.

I mean, how can a girlie be a Time Lord?......The clue is in the word 'Lord'

I suppose the Tardis will need to be painted pink in a future episode. ::)

It's fine for The Doctor to have a pretty female assistant. A girl to help out with any chores and to scream when a bug-eyed alien gets hold of her, but it is political correctness gone mad to have a woman playing the lead role.

Whatever next?......a female James Bond followed by a black female James Bond so as not to upset anyone.

I agree, Mr Gaffer. Although Doctor Who is 'make believe' it does need to be grounded in some sort of reality. ;D ;D

People say special effects have moved on with CGI, but I'm not so sure. Jon Pertwee must have thought that a real T-Rex had been discovered in 1974. Enough to scare his pretty female assistant half to death. :)

What makes me laugh about the female debate is that it is obvious that the doctor is asexual which is one of the letters in the LGBTQA...WTF...IDGAS, but no the problem should be that this incarnation is a female embodiment....?  ???

I dont think they can polish the CGI too much.  The sh!te level of graphics has given it a little charm along the years in that 'It's sh!te but it's British so it's ok' kind of way  ;D

She'll struggle with the time warp control system. Her sonic screwdriver won't help. :)

I think she'd make a good assistant for the Doctor (male doctor) :)

lol watched the 1st ever episode of doctor who back in the late 60,s as a young boy, didnt even see the whole program, thought it was really unrealistic and could not understand why me mates were raving about it?  and to this day ive never watched any of them,
strange thing is I love scifi movies/ series star trek star wars, etc etc
but i just dont get dr who,
mind you the bbc does my head in with its costume dramas, biased news, and dont start me on "alternaive comedy" feking shite! etc plus why the hell is the tv licence still going? they make millions every year no need for it nowadays

November 23rd 1963.

Apparently it was due to be shown the previous day but put back because of breaking  news from the US of A on a very important matter. ::)
