I thought I'd share the fact that my 50p offer was declined.

Please tell me it's nobodies here !!!

Whoever did that to a decent car should be shot at dawn... nah.... thats too good for them ... they should be made to spend the rest of their motoring life in a Trabant.

He was quite polite in declining my offer, so I've sent a reply, which I hope he takes the right way.

I realise you've spent time and money on it and it's clearly now the car of your dreams, but I valued it thus:
(Please Don't be too insulted)

Basic car worth about £500 - £600 ?
Body Kit worth nothing to me.
Wheels worth nothing to me.
Rear Spoiler worth less than nothing as I'd need to remove it and fill the holes and repaint the boot lid.
Stickers and the stripes ? Now I'm no expert, but It's going to need a blow over, after removal of them, so that's most likely going to cost about £800.
Add the value of 4 months MOT and tax and I think 50p was fair.
I realise that you'll think I'm taking the micheala owen, but I was made redundant last week and putting it straight would usefully employ me whilst I wait for a job to land in my lap. How much would you take ? £1 ? £1.59 ? Okay 4 months tax is worth £60, and the value weighed in would be £40 so if I am honest with myself I can't see why you'd take less than £100. If I offered that would you be insulted ? I think so. so perhaps I'd best not upset you further. I wish you luck in your job hunting, and also in the sale of your omega.

Up to a point I understand every car owner tries to reflect their personality with their car,  but Omega is definitely a wrong choice  for that kind of modification..

If i was to attend an OOF meet in that it's probably the only time TB would fire the car before the caravan! I reckon the transfers would come off with a hairdrier, alot of patience & a good was'n wax. Yes the bootlid would have to be filled & painted.
   Some like a tidy standard car, some (like me) like a few "sympathetic" mods to make it thier own but these imho are "pathetic" mods!
