Just popped out to do my other sons breaks on his Mondeo, van wouldn't start fuel light was on but not flashing, and it was farting around at a roundabout earlier  :-/

Anyway went and got some more diesel started fine after that but looking at it I have only done 41 miles to a tenner usually get about 100 miles as it's the 1.7 Di model, any idea's what could've caused this, it usually goes for ages even with fuel light flashing?
Seems ok now mind you  :-/

Do you park on a slope?
Had the same prob with my old rover 600 still 10ltrs in but wont start as no fuel for it to pump due to parking on a slope.

Check for any loose pipes or leccy connections under the bonnet. :y

 Sadly not. It started leaking on about Monday, but then it's done about 1600 miles in my hands already, so its hardly being pampered ;)

Did you pull a plug out and see if the cam covers were leaking?

 It's losing oil there, but losing coolant too. And its mixing in the header tank. It'll be fixed by the end of the week :y

 Don't worry about it mate, if I wanted 100% reliability I'd buy something dull and Japanese.

 I like tinkering, only thing is it'll make it harder for me to let go of it... I'm even more attached now...
